Sunday Open House

Here we sit at Eureka Joe’s coffee house while Melissa is holding her first Open House at our house to entice people to come see and BUY.  Hope she has a lot of sincere lookers come through so she won’t feel her afternoon was a bust!  Being a realtor is a lot of work that most sellers/buyers never envision.  She’s got the personality to do it and has done well so far so we have no doubt that she will get the job done in a timely manner.  To top everything off, she has two sick kids at home so she has her plate full, as usual…Madi came down with a virus a couple of days ago and has felt terrible along with rather high fevers.  Tyler came down with it yesterday so let’s hope no one else gets it since we are all headed to Florida later in the week.  Vacation travel is hard enough with well kids, but kids that have fevers and feel absolutely terrible, are another story all together.  So pray the rest of the family stays well the next couple of weeks anyway.

We went with Clark and Vanessa to Wilmore yesterday and we had a very fun time with all of the Crocketts.  In fact, as we were walking to the front door Grayson ran up to his Papa and told him he had a really loose tooth…and it was loose!  His Papa sent him to me and I ask if he wanted it out, he said yes, so the tooth fairy got to visit him last night.  I didn’t realize it was his first tooth to come out so I felt very honored!  Daniel seemed amazed that I got it out but I assured him I had had lots of practice.  I pulled one of Jerod’s several years ago so I guess I had proven myself worthy of this honor.

Clark jumped on the trampoline with the boys yesterday and I’m sure he’s paying for it today.  He told them they were the only ones to ever see him do this and they will be the last ones also.  They all had fun with their Uncle Clark!

Our plans of today are that we will be going to Linda and Jim’s for the fourth and stay there until the 6th, possible the 7th, and then head to Florida.  I would like to leave Nashville on the 6th and stop to see George’s aunt, etc. and then leave Athen’s on the 7th…it will still be a six hour road trip from there.  We have really done our share of traveling the last couple of weeks…Abilene, New Orleans, Wilmore, and now Desden.  We plan to return to Louisville on the 14th if we can drive straight through and then head to Burlington, IA on the 16th to help Clark and Vanessa move into their new home, staying there for several days before heading home.  We have a wedding reception to attend on the 15th that we really don’t want to miss.  Isn’t retirement relaxing!  We just feel very blessed that we are able to do all of this.  Of course, New Orleans will be back on our plate once everything is worked out for us there.  Now throw in a possible move and our plate should be full!

Tomorrow is Kyle’s 11th birthday, Allison’s _?_ birthday is also tomorrow, Jerod will turn 10 on thr 7th, and Sean will be 23 on the 28th.  Aren’t large families fun?  You can party most any month and during most any week!  I’m just thankful for each one and love each one dearly.

This will be a busy couple of days and, hopefully, once we hit Nashville we can settle down and catch our breath.  Please keep us all in your prayers and thoughts as we will all be traveling at some point.

Blessings…….
