I’m almost ready…

I have my last load of clothes in the dryer, I’m packed…except for the books I want to take and my cosmetics which I can’t pack until morning…and we will be headed out in the morning (Wednesday) and will only get as far as Nashville.  We will be with Linda and Jim until Friday and then head to Florida on Saturday…stopping in Alabama for Friday night to see some of George’s family.  We are all getting very excited and anticipate a very fun week.

I do feel tired and I’m looking forward to some relaxing moments on the beach while listening to the waves…one of my favorite sounds.  There will also be the sweet sounds of the grandkids…so life will be good in Florida!

We still have our house on the market as no one has put an offer on it yet.  Melissa just called and said someone wants to see it tomorrow…a holiday no less…so there is interest and we pray it will sell before too many more weeks.

We will be doing more work in New Orleans once this house stuff is all settled.  George will be a project manager and I will over see the kitchen to help it run smoothly, have enough workers, and the necessary food available to feed the people there…anywhere from 100-300 workers…I’m not the cook just the organizer/planner/overseerer.  I think we will be doing quite a lot of short term trips(maybe 1-6 weeks at a time) but never more than six months at any time.  The drive down there is long, but I guess you can get use to it.  I just hope our van has these same kind feelings about these many trips.  Our van has 172,000 miles on it and is definitely showing it’s age.

Need to finish up my to do list…now I need to add dusting, etc. since the house will be shown tomorrow night.  I’ll be in touch and would love to hear from any and all that read my blog while I’m basking in the sun!

I failed to mention yesterday….Happy Birthday Allison…hope your special day was as fun as Kyle’s.  You can give us the female version once we get to Florida…lots of details!

Have I mentioned we’re headed to Florida!  Yippee!!!

Blessings…..
