We’ve been in Nashville the last day and a half and have had a good time visiting with Linda and Jim. Lawrence, Linda, and Buddy came by for a little while this afternoon and they are doing well. We have also attended some of the lectures at David Lipscomb…heard Randy Harris last night and Patrick Meade tonight. The PA system was not working well for Randy Harris so I missed some of what he said but Patrick Meade was excellent tonight, as usual. We also went to a class taught by Chris Smith, one of our former ministers at Okolona, today and he too was good. Last night the university had a fire works show and it was enjoyable…everything is good in Nashville but rather hot! It is July so it’s time for HOT!
We’ll be leaving here tomorrow after lunch and head for Alabama. I know the girls and their families are leaving tomorrow, also, so we should all be arriving in Florida about the same time on Saturday. Our check-in time is 3 p.m. and we plan to be there! Not sure when Scott and Carter will be headed that way but they will get there sometime Saturday, I’m sure. Pray for safety for all of us! Lots of crazy drivers out there.
I’ll let you know when we get settled in Florida…hope we’ll have a signal so we can post on here right away. Otherwise, I’ll post when I can.
