We have had a good few days being with Mom and Dad but it’s time to go home. We have been gone from home for almost one month…will be one month on the 13th…and I miss my own bed, my home, and my routine…whatever that entails. We really haven’t done much while here except visit, play 42, walk the ACU walking trail/path while the folks were at the rehab/therapy place, EAT, and the grand finale is that we’ll be shopping some today. Mom and Dad continue to do well for “Old Folks”…their words, not mine…and we are all thankful for that. Dad will complete his rehab/therapy the first week of April and hopes to get back to golfing sometime later that month. Mom still has difficulty walking but other than that she’s doing very well.
We are finally seeing some sunshine today as we’ve had mostly dreary, overcast weather since we’ve been here. The rain has been plentiful, but we all know that once it stops that will be all for some time…the wild flowers will be pretty this spring will all this rain. The flowers are always so pretty against this somewhat “unbeautiful” scenery…another blessing from God. We have to love spring and watching all of nature once again wake up!!! Thank you Lord.
Guess I’d better get myself dressed and ready for my morning walk. We will be leaving Abilene in the morning and spending the night at Scott and Allison’s…rather Turner and Neyland’s…and FINALLY be back home Thursday evening. Please continue to pray for Mom and Dad, our safe travels, and continued good health for each of us.
Blessings…..
