Sunday we headed to Louisville to attend the Governors Cup, of which Jerod was a participant. There were over 400 high school’s and middle school’s represented and over 2600 students that were participating. It was a busy, exciting two days…it all ended Monday evening…and those kids amaze me at all they know. Jerod, a sixth grader, was one of the key team members for his middle school on the quick recall team…the team came in second place and they were fourth place over all. This is only the second time they have participated in this event, so we were all very excited for all the team members and marvel at their quick minds. Melissa said that if they were competing with the adults it would be a shoe-in…wonder where they learn all that stuff? Congratulations Jerod and all the team from West Jessamine Middle School on a job well done!!!
Wednesday we have Jerry Page and his girlfriend, Margaret, coming to visit…he’s helping with some electrical work…for a few days. We’re looking forward to knowing Margaret better and having Jerry’s expertise on doing the wiring on the “blue” house aka rental house. We’re already having interest from people wanting to rent this and it’s totally gutted…the benefit of a small college town, I guess. We are NOT definite that we’ll rent it…that seems to be the way we’re headed for now…or if we’ll try and sell it. At this point and time, we just want to get it completed. It will be a cute house and a vast improvement from what it once was…a total mess! It’s a foreclosure home and the people left it a wreck but it’s all fixable and that’s what we’re doing…if we’ll just stay home long enough to do it.
Got to get busy…lots to do today. Have a great week!
Blessings…..
