Spring has sprung…

Spring has arrived…at least for the next several days.  Today it will remain in the 60’s but the next few days it will be in the 70’s…HIP, HIP, HURRAY!!!  The beautiful spring flowers, along with the green grass, and the sunshine is such a welcome relief..plus the longer days.  Thank you Lord for blessing us with the changing seasons.

George continues to plug away at the “blue house”…called this because the siding is blue.  He, along with Jerod who’s enjoying his spring break this week, got the toilet and sink out of the main bathroom yesterday.  Jerod said he thought that was quite a nasty job.  Today George is  replacing some of the wallboard behind the toilet area in both bathrooms.  George is going to tile around the tub…he’s anxious to learn how this is done…once that’s done, I’ll paint the walls.  Melissa has told us how we can revive the tile floor so we’ll do that after the painting is done and then this room will be NEAR completion.  We’ll have to celebrate when that one room is done…whenever that happens!  We want to paint the kitchen next so George can put the cabinets back up and then we’ll move on to the dining room…or maybe the dining room will be the next room since it will be getting a new ceiling and I wouldn’t want all that dust to get in, or on, my newly painted walls.  This is a major project but it will be nice when completed and we do have renters if we can get it done by June.

Our friend Patty is still in ICU from her cancer surgery last week.  We learned this past Sunday, that she had to have more surgery last Saturday due to a leaky something that had caused an infection.  The family  will learn today if additional cancer was found in the lymph nodes and what any future treatment might be.  She’s certainly not out of the woods yet and I’m asking everyone to, please, continue to pray for her.

Guess I’d better get up and go help George…or knit, not sure at this point which it will be…knitting seems to be more my speed!  There are things I can do over there… not sure just what that is … I do better most of the time by staying home and keeping my suggestions to myself.

Have a good week, enjoy the sunshine, and watch for the Easter Bunny while praising God for Jesus’ resurrection!

Blessings……..
